Pakistani actor Ayesha Umar recently revealed some painful details of her past, years-old relationship about the time she spent with her ex-fiancé.
The 41-year-old actor-singer said that due to this relationship, she faced immense mental and physical violence, but somehow she managed to get out of it.
The Zindagi Gulzar Hai actor spoke about the harsh realities of his personal life in a podcast show hosted by former model, actor and director Fareeha Altaf.
Ayesha said during the interview: “It was eight years ago. We were almost engaged and like a family. It took me a long time to end the relationship and get out of it because I thought maybe my Love will change that person. I will fix it.”
The Bulbulay actor said that the person would apologize after doing everything after which she would forgive and come back to him. “But one day he physically assaulted me. That was the day I decided not to take it anymore and ended the relationship,” she revealed.
The singer added that the man she was in a relationship with would use profanity around the clock.
“He was someone who was used to cursing. He would say ‘I abuse in love’,” revealed the actor.
She added that it took her a long time to recover from the trauma as she had “wasted precious years” of her life because of the man.
