After the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) included most of the Asian countries in its proposal for a hybrid model to host the Asia Cup, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also accepted the proposal. Ready to give.

However, before finally ending the deadlock, the BCCI has made its agreement with the PCB’s proposed model conditional, with the condition that India tour India for the World Cup in October this year. A written assurance should be sought from Pakistan regarding this.

According to the media, while the BCCI is ready to soften its tone on the issue, a formal decision will be taken only after the Special General Meeting (SGM) on May 27.

The Cricket Board of India has been adamant about shifting the entire Asian tournament out of Pakistan and recommends that its matches be played at a neutral venue. But after Pakistan’s threat to boycott the World Cup, the Indian board has changed its stance.

Meanwhile, after Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Bangladesh agreed to PCB’s proposal for a hybrid model, India also conditionally accepted the idea.

The board is likely to accept Pakistan’s proposal during the SGM meeting in the Indian city of Ahmedabad.

PCB Management Committee Chairman Najam Sethi had earlier warned against Pakistan not participating in the World Cup to be held in India if Jay Shah – who heads the Asian Cricket Council and the BCCI. The Secretary – refused to accept Pakistan’s position as a partial host.

“The situation is that India has refused to come. We had to leave the Asia Cup. What do you want from us? I would have sent the same formula to the ICC by then. I feel that the ICC is so Not strict. Opposing the hybrid model. They are waiting to see how it works in the Asia Cup,” Sethi said, adding that while he could not elaborate further, the stance was factual.
