KARACHI: Foreign Minister and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Sunday accused the Supreme Judiciary of following double standards of justice, saying that such standards cannot be used by the judicial system. That “judges are making fun of themselves. “, JEE News reported on Monday.

Addressing a function at the Sindh Assembly Committee Auditorium on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee of the 1973 Constitution, Chairman PPP said that there is corruption in every institution, including the judiciary and the executive.

Bilawal said that we are following the sacred cow system, where there are separate laws for the common man and the sacred cow, there should be one law for the common man as well as the judge.

He said that every Pakistani is equal before the constitution, which has been continuously attacked since its formation.

“We will not tolerate a system of double justice. You can rewrite the constitution to save your favourites, but one editorial is enough to send Benazir Bhutto’s government home. For parties like the People’s Party, such practices is difficult to defend,” he declared. .

“A judicial system of double standards cannot go on where the Prime Minister of Larkana is hanged while the cases of the Prime Minister of Zaman Park remain pending. We will not tolerate this system,” the judges mocked. From,” he asserted.

He said that it was impossible to change the entire law to save the rule of one person.

Bilawal further said that People’s Party was saying from the first day that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) was created for political engineering. He further said that ‘I wonder what the judges are looking for in amending the NAB law, if they want to abolish NAB then go ahead, we are not interested in it’.

The federal minister said that the country is suffering the consequences of religious hatred spread during the Zia-ul-Haq era, the constitution is an agreement between the state and the people. He said that the constitution has given Islamic federation to the people and Pakistan is a country of pro-democracy people.

The Foreign Minister said that ‘PPP passed the 18th Amendment and introduced the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP)’.

In previous regimes, rulers used to send their opponents behind bars. The PPP gave an opportunity to the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), which led to the success of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.

Bilawal said that an elected prime minister has come to power not to fix prices of essential commodities but to benefit his own family.

“We succeeded in a no-confidence motion against the person who was installed in violation of the system and the constitution. The 18th amendment is not the real issue for them but the 1973 constitution. They agreed. Now they accept it. We thought to remove an undemocratic person by launching a democratic attack,” said Bilawal.

“The undemocratic person is gone now but the mentality has not changed yet. The former prime minister [Imran Khan] damaged the country for his own interests and divided every institution.”

The foreign minister wondered how long it would take to compensate for the damage done to the country by Imran’s government. He said that we are going through constitutional, political and economic crises.

“We have faced many challenges. If we keep fighting among ourselves, how can we deal with the problems of inflation, poverty and hunger? If we keep fighting from Peshawar to Karachi, only the terrorists will benefit,” Bilawal said. warned.
