Bill Gates opens up about his personal ‘struggles’: ‘end of my marriage’

Bill Gates took a moment to mourn the losses of his year, which included the end of his 27-year marriage last year.

In his annual Gates Foundation update via his blog, the Microsoft CEO touched on more personal topics alongside his usual assessments of recent technological advances and climate change.

“I turned 67 in October. It’s hard to believe I’m that old – most people my age in America are retired!” Gates began his blog post.

The billionaire then said that his position on the world’s richest list will not be the same in the near future as he will continue to give back to society.

“But I won’t be slowing down anytime soon. I’m still going full speed ahead with the project I started more than two decades ago, which aims to return the majority of my resources to society. It is,” he wrote.

“Although I don’t care where I am on the list of the richest people in the world,” he wrote, “I know that as I get better at giving, I will come down and eventually Will be completely off the list.”
