Despite strong denials from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) president Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain on Thursday expressed security concerns ahead of the long march of the alliance partner party.
Hussain, in a message to his cousin and party member Chaudhry Pervez Elahi, Chief Minister of Punjab, about his role and responsibilities during the Long March.
He said that it is the responsibility of Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi to maintain law and order in Punjab and protect the lives of citizens.
He said that Chaudhry Parvaiz Elahi is first a Pakistani and then the Chief Minister of Punjab.
Hussain added that the long march should not be violent.
The PTI is scheduled to start its long march to Islamabad from Lahore’s Liberty Circle on Friday. After passing through most of North Punjab, it will enter Islamabad.
