KAKOL: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir on Saturday reiterated the Army’s commitment to the stability of Pakistan and vowed to secure and strengthen the relationship between the Army and the people.
He said this while addressing the passing out parade at Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) in Kakul today.

“There is nothing more sacred to us than the safety and security of our people and no duty more binding than the defense of our motherland. Now go forth and fulfill the hopes of our nation,” he told the cadets.
“The Army embraces the vision of our great leader without distinction of caste, colour, race, sex or geography.”
The Army Chief said that Pakistan’s efforts for peace should never be taken as a sign of weakness.
“We have the strength, capability and capacity to protect our sovereignty and territorial integrity and we are well aware of the ways and means to do so. I assure the people of Pakistan that we will do whatever is necessary to defend our sacred motherland. Will not hesitate to sacrifice.
He said that brave soldiers of Pakistan are not intimidated by the number and resources of their opponents.
He said that the armed forces of Pakistan stand with their strong will and determination, fulfilling the promises of Allah Ta’ala as true followers.

Terrorism
Voicing to rid the country of terrorism, COAS Asim Munir said, “There is no place for those who disturb our hard-earned peace”.
He reiterated that the armed forces will not spare any sacrifice for the future stability, security and protection of future generations.
Domestic crisis
Referring to the ongoing crises in the country, General Asim Munir said that the main effort is being made by the opponents to affect the state and social harmony through various efforts.
There is an urgent need to identify the exposed and hidden enemies. In this regard, there should be a difference between reality and illusion.
General Asim said that the country’s enemies are bent on creating a rift between its people and the armed forces, adding: “We will ensure that the relationship between the Pakistan Army and the people is preserved and further strengthened. “
Afghanistan
Highlighting the importance of peace on the western borders, COAS said that stability, security and peace in Afghanistan are fundamental to the security of Pakistan.
The Kashmir issue
Assuring the continuous support of the country to the Kashmiri brothers, he said that Pakistan stands firmly with its Kashmiri brothers in their historic struggle for fundamental human rights and their legitimate struggle for self-determination.
We will continue our political, moral and diplomatic support to our Kashmiri brothers.
He asked the international community to realize that without a just and peaceful solution to the Kashmir issue, regional peace would forever remain elusive.
