An argument over politics during a bus ride took an ugly turn, resulting in the death of one passenger while another was injured by a bullet.
According to the police, the incident took place on Sunday near Katling Interchange in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Swat Motorway.
The bus in which two brothers named Waqasuddin and Rahimuddin were traveling was going to Timurgira.
During his journey, he engages in political debate with other passengers. However, both sides refused to accept each other’s point of view, and things became heated.
Some unknown passengers had an argument with Waqasuddin and Rahimuddin but the non-parties intervened in the discussion.
But this did not end the resentment.
Police said the accused called their relatives who forcibly stopped the passenger bus near Kotling Interchange.
They took the two brothers out of the car and first attacked them with sticks.
After that, one of the accused took out a weapon and started firing, killing Rahimuddin on the spot, while Waqasuddin was injured.
The injured person was shifted to the hospital for treatment.
Police say that they have seized the passenger bus and registered a case against the unknown accused.
