Former leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Jahangir Tareen has officially launched his political party named ‘Istihkam-e-Pakistan Party’.
“We are founding a new political party – Istihkam-e-Pakistan Party,” Tareen announced at a press conference on Thursday along with former PTI leaders including Aleem Khan, Imran Ismail and others.
Tareen, a former close aide of PTI Chairman Imran Khan and instrumental in forming the PTI-led government in 2018, said he joined politics to do his part for the betterment of the country. happened

Tareen parted ways with Khan after a money laundering case was registered against him during the PTI-led government.
“We have worked day and night to strengthen the party. We have infused enthusiasm and excitement in the party. Facts will emerge in the coming days about our contribution to PTI,” he added.
Tareen was disqualified for life after the Supreme Court ruled in 2017 that he was found guilty in a disproportionate assets case.
In the same presser, he said that the perpetrators of the May 9 vandalism should be brought to book “otherwise the houses of political opponents will be attacked in the future”.
He further said that the country needs a new political leadership that can lead it on the path of development, saying that people have lost hope in the current political system.
Tareen further said that the country’s politics needed a new direction and urged the government and the opposition to uphold their constitutional role to strengthen the country’s democracy. More people will join our party in the coming days and we will reveal our reform agenda in the coming days.
At the beginning of the press conference, Aleem said that Pakistanis are worried about the current situation in the country. “We were concerned about the situation, so we decided to form a separate party.”
He thanked Tareen for uniting the leaders, saying: “We believe that the solution to Pakistan’s problems is to stabilize the country.”
He further said that anarchy is weakening Pakistan and it needs to end.
“We need to build a stable Pakistan in which Parliament, judiciary and establishment are on the same page,” Aleem added. We will contribute to this struggle under the leadership of Jahangir Tareen.
PTI deserters join Tareen’s ranks
Ahead of the official announcement of the new political party, several former senior PTI leaders including Fawad Chaudhry, Imran Ismail, Ali Zaidi and others have reportedly joined or are planning to join Tareen’s ranks.
