Ranveer Singh has been unveiled as the new Don in the upcoming installment of the highly anticipated films, titled Don 3, previously played by Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role.

While announcing the regular existence of the king of Bollywood from the action thriller, the director of the film Farhan Akhtar mesmerized the fans by confirming the new film of the hit series.

The hot teaser of Don 3 shows Singh stepping into the shoes of Khan, the role originally played by Amitabh Bachchan in the 1978 and 2006 versions of the film.

As for the leading lady opposite Singh in the upcoming film, it was reported by Pink Villa that Akhtar is eyeing Kiara Advani to join him for the blockbuster hit.

Fueling speculation, the Satyaprem Katha starrer was spotted at Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment yesterday with an insider confirming that Advani has given the director a “verbal nod”.

“Farhan Akhtar has narrated the basic plotline of Don 3 to Kiara, and he loves it,” said the insider. “Kiara has given her verbal approval.”

“She is excited to be a part of the sensational world of rebooted Don with Ranveer Singh, who she has always dreamed of working with,” said the source.

The insider continued: “However, she will not be playing the role of Roma, which was essayed by Priyanka Chopra in Shah Rukh Khan’s previous films.”

“The Dawn franchise has been given a fresh makeover and will introduce new characters. This time it won’t be Roma, but yes, Kiara’s character will have negative shades.

Ranveer Singh as new Don upsets fans, ‘NO SRK NO DON’ trends on Twitter

Meanwhile, the teaser of the film is getting mixed reviews from the audience as “NO SRK NO DON” trends on Twitter, which is currently being rebranded as X.

SRK fans have shown their distaste for Singh as the new don as they want the young actor to reprise his role in Akhtar’s directorial.
