Dr Seemin Jamali At hospital, Murtaza Wahab denied news of death.

Former Executive Director of Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) Dr Seemin Jamali is undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) due to his ill health, JEE News reported on Monday.

Jamali’s condition was said to be critical and her doctors were doing everything possible to “save her life”.

According to the report, he has been placed on a BiPAP machine after his oxygen levels dropped dangerously low. Dr. Jamali’s husband told JEE News that she was admitted to a private hospital on Friday after her condition worsened.

Earlier, there were reports regarding the alleged death of Dr. Jamali, but the authorities denied these rumors on Saturday.

Sindh government spokesperson Murtaza Wahab clarified in a tweet that the doctor is alive and his treatment is ongoing. He requested the public to refrain from spreading any news without verification and pray for the doctor’s recovery.

Jamali, also known as Iron Lady or Bullet Lady, was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2020. He is one of the successful and famous doctors of Pakistan.

His journey began in Nawabshah where he attended medical school and years later joined Jinnah Hospital to serve the people of Pakistan in a government facility.

He started working as the Executive Director of JPMC, one of the largest public health facilities in the country, in November 2016.

Since then, she was the face of the hospital and the first point of contact whenever a medical emergency arose in Karachi.

She retired from the service in August 2021.

Jamali is the recipient of Tamgha Imtiaz (Medal of Distinction) for her extraordinary services in the field of medicine.
