Famous Pakistani film and television actor Hamza Ali Abbasi, who is all set to make a comeback on the TV screen, said that whenever his character dies in a serial, that drama becomes popular.
Talking about his upcoming drama serial Jaan-e-Jahan, Abbasi said, “The history is that every project in which I have died in the end is always a hit.”
He expressed these views while talking to a journalist during the launching ceremony of a salon in Lahore.
Asked if his upcoming drama will end like Pyare Afzal, the 38-year-old actor said: “We’ll see, time will tell.”
Abbasi also said that he is looking forward to his new play, adding that the script suits his liking and desire. He thanked producers Sana Shahnawaz and Samina Humayun Saeed, saying that they fulfilled their concerns and inputs regarding the script.
Recently, the actor informed his followers about his return to the TV screen by sharing a teaser of his drama on his official Instagram handle.
He wrote in his post: “Delighted to introduce you to the fascinating world of our upcoming project Jaan-e-Jahan written by Rida Bilal, directed by Qasim Ali Mureed.”
He further wrote that ‘The drama is produced by Samina Humayun Saeed and Sana Shahnawaz and is coming soon on a TV screen near you’.
The actor has shown his acting chops in several well-known dramas before but a year ago he announced his retirement from the showbiz industry to devote more of his time to religion.
