RAWALPINDI: As part of the farewell tours, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Saturday visited various setups of the Army Medical Corps, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
According to the army’s media wing, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa along with Lieutenant General Nigar Johar paid farewell visit to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Rawalpindi.
During the visit, the Army Chief was briefed about the latest health facilities by CMH Commandant Major General Mohammad Mohsin Qureshi.
ISPR said the COAS was briefed that the medical care was planned as per international best practices and patient care was the focus of the hospital management.
Special counters have also been set up for the convenience of general patients. Efforts are being made to provide a conducive environment for patients and provide relevant facilities for patient attendants.
The COAS appreciated the efforts of the AMC for providing quality healthcare and state-of-the-art rehabilitation services to the members of the armed forces, their families and civilian patients.
Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa also laid the foundation stone of the new training block of the Armed Forces Post Graduate Institute.
Later, the Army Chief visited the newly constructed soldiers’ guest rooms, the newly established Army Help Center and the upgraded facilities of the Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology.
The COAS appreciated the selfless dedication to duty and monumental work of the doctors and healthcare professionals of AMC.
Appreciating the immense improvements being made in the healthcare infrastructure, General Bajwa said that quality healthcare for soldiers and their families is a key feature of the Army’s welfare system and vital to the morale of the soldiers. Is.
Earlier, Corps Commander Rawalpindi Lieutenant General Sahir Shamshad Mirza welcomed the Army Chief on his arrival at CMH.
