The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet has approved an increase of Rs 0.51 per unit in electricity rates for K Electric customers.
The ECC met in Islamabad on Friday under the chairmanship of new Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, in which it was decided to keep the tariffs uniform across the country.
The federal cabinet will take the final approval of the increase in electricity rates.
