LONDON: In an interview, US tech billionaire Elon Musk revealed on Wednesday that he sometimes sleeps in the office and has a sofa in the library on the seventh floor “where no one goes”. .
The American billionaire, known for his sarcasm, spoke to the UK media outlet, attracting more than three million users on Twitter Spaces.
When asked about his time as the owner of Twitter, Musk said: “It hasn’t been boring. It’s been quite a roller coaster.”
Musk believed he did the right thing by acquiring Twitter, however, it had been a “really pretty stressful situation for the last several months”.
He revealed that Twitter’s workforce has been largely downsized, adding that it was not easy to reduce the workforce from around 7,000 when it bought the firm to around 1,500.

Last week, Twitter suffered a bug that prevented thousands of users from accessing links, its sixth major outage since the start of the year, according to Internet watchdog group NetBlocks.
Musk acknowledged some glitches, including recent outages, but said they haven’t lasted long.
He says Twitter was in a $3 billion negative cash flow situation and had to take drastic measures, citing its massive layoffs.
“We could be cash-flow positive this quarter if things go well,” he said, adding that the company currently has an all-time high customer base.
The billionaire, who also runs electric car maker Tesla and rocket company SpaceX, said he had no one in mind to replace him as Twitter’s chief executive.
However, he noted that he would sell the company to “the right person.”
