Former leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and close associate of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, Faisal Vawda has confirmed the British news agency’s allegation that Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir was removed from his previous post. Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) chief in 2018.

When asked if anyone else was involved other than Shahzad Akbar, the prime minister’s former adviser who allegedly acted as Khan’s pimp in the case, Vawda replied: “Shehzad Akbar was alone in this. No, there was one particular person who had a lot. Support. That particular person had a very special role in this case.”

The former PTI leader, while talking about the mayhem that erupted in the country after Khan’s arrest on May 9, also revealed that 11 members of the PTI leadership were at his house on May 9.
He said that during his stay at his residence, he was instructed to attack the ISI headquarters in Islamabad.
“I told these people that if they do any such act from my residence, I will have to hand them over to the police,” he said.
