Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement that four soldiers were martyred after terrorists attacked Pakistani soldiers posted across the border in Kech on Saturday.
Earlier today, a group of terrorists working on behalf of Iran attacked a routine border patrol of Pakistani security forces operating along the Pakistan-Iran border in Jalgai sector of the district, the army’s media wing said.
The ISPR added that unfortunately 4 soldiers including Naik Sher Ahmed, Lance Naik Mohammad Asghar, Sepoy Mohammad Irfan and Sepoy Abdul Rasheed were seriously injured in the attack and later succumbed to their injuries.
The statement said that Pakistani authorities are contacting Iran to prevent such incidents in the future.
Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah condemned the attack and assured the people that the government would breathe a sigh of relief after the end of terrorism.
The Home Minister said that the entire nation is united in the fight against terrorism, lamenting that the sons of the fatherland are embracing martyrdom to protect their land.
