A case of alleged theft, robbery and kidnapping was registered on Tuesday against Balochistan’s former interior minister Nawabzada Gazian Murri.

The case was filed on the complaint of his elder brother, former minister of Balochistan, Nawab Chingiz Khan Marri.

In the complaint, Marri clan leader Chingiz told the Levies police station in Kohlu’s Kahan tehsil that Gazian and five of his accomplices had allegedly kidnapped his driver along with the vehicle he was driving.

Genghis also accused Ghazin of stealing 29 of his camels from the Kahan region.

While Gazian released the driver three days later, the driver was not released before being tortured.

Moreover, Genghis said that Gazian had refused to return the camel and the chariot.

The former provincial minister asked the police to recover his stolen vehicle and camel.

Meanwhile, Ghazian and his two accomplices got interim bail after submitting a surety bond of Rs 100,000 from the Kohlu District and Sessions Court.

In 2017, Ghazan returned to Pakistan after spending 18 years in exile in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Both Ghazian and Genghis are sons of the late Baloch nationalist leader Nawab Khair Bakhsh Marri.
