The funeral prayers of senior journalist and television anchor Arshad Sharif were offered at Faisal Mosque in Islamabad on Thursday.
Sharif was shot dead by Kenyan police on Sunday night in a case of “mistaken identity” while on his way to Nairobi.
Sharif’s body was brought to Pakistan from Kenya on Wednesday morning. His family received his body at Islamabad Airport.
The country’s police in Kenya admitted to killing him in their first report. Kenyan police say Sharif was shot in the head in a case of mistaken identity.
