LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has said that former Chief of Army Staff General (Retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa made a deal with Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari and Sindh. was Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.

Imran made the revelation while talking to reporters on Saturday as he continued his rhetoric against the former army chief, whom he now blames for the ouster of his government.

The PTI chief recently admitted that extending the extension to Gen (r) Bajwa was a “mistake” and accused the former army chief of “cheating”. Also, in an interaction with journalists yesterday, he revealed that he is not in touch with the establishment “right now”.

As the PTI has been pressuring the government to hold snap polls across the country, Imran predicted that they are looking at elections in April or March.

He further said that PTI members of National Assembly will appear before Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf to confirm their resignations.

However, the government has ruled out holding early elections citing several reasons, including floods, and said they could be held in October 2023.

“We will also remain allied with the Q-League (Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid) because they are standing with us,” the PTI chief said, adding that the political turmoil in Punjab continued.

The PTI chief said that I will not hurt the people to stay in power.

Criticizing Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, he said that Bhutto Sahibzade has made more trips abroad than his three-and-a-half-year tenure.

“Also, if he’s claiming that he’s paying for foreign trips out of his own pocket, are they private trips?” He thought.

He criticized the PPP and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) for receiving “foreign funds” and “not having receipts” for them. “We have a database of 40,000 donors.”
