ISLAMABAD: Muslim League (Q) leader Munis Elahi revealed that former Army Chief General (R) Qamar Javed Bajwa had asked him to support PTI when a no-confidence motion was moved against former Prime Minister Imran Khan. Was advised.

In an interview to a private TV channel, Monis said that both the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) had offered him but General (r) Bajwa had asked him to support Imran Khan. said The leadership party.

Some elements are busy killing Bajwa Sahib on social media without any reason. It is Bajwa who changed the course of the rivers for Tehreek-e-Insaaf. Then they [Bajwa] were right, but now they are not. I totally disagree with the people who are now speaking against him,” Monis said.

“When he was giving you all support, he was right,” the PML-Q leader said, wondering if Bajwa had now become a traitor to him.

“I have asked PTI officials to sit with me on a TV show and prove that he is a traitor, and I will tell you exactly what he has done for you.”

Munis said that there is no doubt that the former army chief fully supported the PTI but when he withdrew his support, he had become a bad person. “It is a bad example and I disagree with him on that. He [Bajwa] was never against PTI.

“If he [Bajwa] was against them [PTI] at this point, all he had to do was give a signal, and we would have sat with him [PDM],” said Monis.

The PML-Q leader added that his inclination was towards PTI and he also discussed the matter with his father.

On the dissolution of the assemblies, Monis said that his party was of the opinion that general elections should be held as soon as possible because at that time Khan’s popularity was at its peak. He added that this is favorable for both PTI and its allies.

He said that if elections are held only in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after the dissolution of the assemblies, they will return with a large majority for the next five years.

Mons said that the judiciary has established its impartiality and everyone knows it. “The courts have removed their scars.” He said that he has no connection with the new establishment.

The PML-Q leader said that when the establishment says that they have nothing to do with politics, they buy it because it has not affected the Punjab government.
