Before that he made the statement at a press conference on Monday and requested the government to require “prompt action” against those included within the “shocking campaign”.
I appeal to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and all important institutions to take immediate action against this scandalous campaign.
Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon Said on Tuesday that Govt should Ban PTI Social Media for becoming a “security risk” to the country after spearheading a social campaign on social media regarding the Misuse of donation products for Sindh flood victims.
Today Sindh Information Minister Said in Press Conference that PTI Chairman Imran Khan was also involved in this campaign.
Memon said that PTI’s social media wing should be immediately and completely banned as the social media team and Imran Khan himself have become a security risk for the country and the nation.
He further said that it is inappropriate to stop someone from politics, however, if someone is engaged in enmity with the state, nation and flood victims for the sake of his politics and a party is sending a message to the world not to help. The flood victims then “have no action less and more shameful than I have ever seen before in my life.”
Reiterating his appeal, he once again appealed to the ECP, the Supreme Court, the Federal Government and the Ministry of Home Affairs to take immediate notice of the matter.
The minister alleged that the PTI was trying to send a message to the world that the government was failing about the alleged discrepancies in the relief operations and hence the flood victims could not get relief.
“It is everyone’s legal, constitutional and national responsibility to bring such group and such people to justice immediately.”
Memon said that Pakistan may face a huge crisis if foreign aid is stopped. He said that people are fighting for their survival and one party is PTI, its conspiracies cannot be tolerated in any way.
The message they are sending…can they be called patriotic? Can we say that these people are loyal to the country or helping the flood victims? India and Israel also did not run as much hate campaign as PTI is doing.
He said that the party calling itself the federal party is now unfortunately playing the role of an enemy of the country.
Meanwhile, he said that the Sindh government is fully committed and is focusing on relief, rescue and rehabilitation efforts and serving the people instead of getting involved in politics.
Memon said that Imran and PTI have the right to participate in politics after the alleged campaign is over. He further said that in the history of the country, no political party has participated in politics or activities like the above in moments of crisis and calamity.
“Morally, legally and constitutionally, Imran has lost his right to participate in politics. He has no right to do politics in this country. He should be behind bars with all those who did it.
In the press conference, the Information Minister also asked various questions to the journalists regarding the ongoing flood operations and efforts of the Sindh government and informed the journalists.
