Hayley Williams took a moment to reminisce with her longtime friend, Taylor Swift, ahead of the release of her Speak Now (Taylor’s Version).
In an Instagram post on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, the Paramore frontwoman, 34, praised the Anti-Hero hitmaker. It reflected the day Speak Now was first released in 2010.
“Taylor was the first industry friend I ever made and hung out with outside of work,” Williams wrote.
“When Speak Now dropped, I bought my friend’s record (as you do!) and sat in the driveway in my first car listening to the whole thing. It’s my favorite Taylor Swift album for so many reasons. ,” he added.
“I wish I could go back to that moment on my 21st birthday and tell her one day that she would legally own Speak Now and we could sing together.”
After months of speculation and dropping hints, the 12-time Grammy-winning artist announced his upcoming album to be released on July 7, 2023 – around July 9.
In an IG post, the singer shared her ‘pride and joy’ which was “written entirely by herself, between the ages of 18 and 20.”
“I always saw this album as my album, and the lump in my throat expands into a shaky voice as I say it. Thank you, dear readers, it will finally happen,” Swift said. wrote

Williams, who also kicked off Swift’s Eras tour in Arizona last month, has been vocal about her friendship with Swift in the past.
