Hundred Draft: Babar, Shaheen, Rizwan Among Most Expensive Players

Some of Pakistan’s leading cricketers, including men’s team captain Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen Shah Afridi, have signed up for The Hundred Draft ahead of the upcoming third season of the English league.

Babar, Shaheen and Rizwan are listed at a reserve price of £100,000 while pacers Mohammad Amir, Haris Rauf and Naseem are listed at a reserve price of £60,000.

Here is the list of Pakistani male players who have signed up for the draft:

Settled Ali, Noman Ali, Salman Ali, Umeed Asif, Saim Ayub, Danish Aziz, Imad Butt, Shahnawaz Dahani, Samin Gul, Muhammad Haris, Muhammad Hasnain, Muhammad Irfan, Salman Irshad, Ahmed Daniyal, Aamir Jamal, Akif Javed, Azam Khan, Haseebullah Khan, Mubaser Khan, Sharjeel Khan, Sajid Khan, Umar Khan, Zaman Khan, Sohaib Maqsood, Waqas Maqsood, Shan Masood, Osama Mir, Muhammad Nawaz, Usman Qadir, Ruman Raees, Wahab Riaz, Abdullah Shafiq, Khushdil Shah, Yasir. Shah, Saud Shakeel, Haris Sohail, Talat Hussain, Imamul Haq, Ehsanullah, Abdul Wahid and Aamir Yameen.

Earlier, Pakistani leggie Shadab Khan was retained by The Hundred franchise Birmingham Phoenix.

The championship will start in August.

In the men’s competition last year, Trent Rockets won the title by defeating Manchester Originals in the final match.

The Oval Invincibles, who beat Southern Braves in a rematch of the 2021 final, prevailed to claim a second consecutive victory in the women’s competition.

Moreover, eight women cricketers from Pakistan have also registered for the Women’s Hundred League.

Fast bowler Diana Bagg is among the second most expensive players with a reserve price of £25,000.

Pakistan’s Jawaria Rauf entered with a reserve price of £18,750.

Aram Javed, Nida Dar, Fatima Sana, Arooj Shah, Muniba Siddiqui and Mahim Tariq have also registered for the draft bit without reserve price.

The league’s draft will be held on March 23.
