A lawsuit has been filed against the film which says that the trailer shows Devgn playing the role of “Chatragupta” – a god in Hindu mythology – in modern clothes, using “obscene jokes and objectionable language”. doing”.

The complaint states that the portrayal of Chatragupta in the trailer may create an “unpleasant situation” as it hurts religious sentiments.
“This is a deliberate conspiracy by Bollywood to disturb public peace by making fun of deities in the film,” the petition said.
The complaint has demanded that necessary legal action be taken against the filmmakers and the actors of the film.
The case has been filed by advocate Himanshu Shrivastava in Uttar Pradesh’s Joanpur court.
The court has fixed the date of hearing the case on November 18, 2022.
Meanwhile, the film Thank God is slated to release on 24 October 2022.
