Pakistan’s hottest star Mahira Khan is all set to return to the small screen with Express Entertainment’s upcoming venture Razia. The popular star was last seen on television in the 2021 serial Hum Kaan Ke Sache. Khan had earlier shared the first glimpse of his character in an Instagram post. On Tuesday, the award-winning artiste shared the first teaser of the drama with the caption.
Dressed in a niqab, the Raees star stood in a crowded space and delivered a powerful monologue as onlookers looked on. Sharing the clip, Khan wrote, “When I heard the story, I said yes in a heartbeat. Grateful to be a part of this story, its narrator no less.” He added, “Soon you will be welcomed into Razia’s world. All our good intentions and hard work will come to an end. Amen.”

Mohib Mirza, Momal Sheikh are playing lead roles in this show. Mirza, who last starred in the 2021 horror show Neeli Zinda Hai, made the announcement on social media. The Ishrat: Made in China actor wrote “an important story to tell”.
Earlier, Khan surprised his fans with a picture of his new character on the photo sharing app. “Razia. Coming soon to Express Entertainment,” read her caption. In this picture, Khan is seen sitting in an amusement park or fair with his back to the camera with colorful hairdos.
A second image featuring multi-colored bangles revealed the name of the project. The shooting of the project began in June. Other details about the cast, release dates and creative team are still unknown. From the looks of it, Khan will be playing a Punjabi lady in the drama and fans are already excited!
