ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah on Sunday said that PTI Chairman Imran Khan is “committing the crime of treason against the state.”

Minister said, “Imran Khan has only one demand: He wants institutions to adopt him to the prime minister’s chair”.

Sanaullah reiterated that Khan wanted to make the appointment of the army chief controversial.

“Institutions, government, parliament and judiciary should stand against their nefarious agenda,” he said, adding that the PTI chief would never succeed in his agenda against the country and nation.

The minister said Khan should refrain from talking about something if it is not true, but he does so because it “reinforces his political agenda”.

Sanaullah said the former prime minister “doesn’t even care about his self-respect.”

On Delay in Filing FIR
The minister warned that if the PTI chief mentions the name of a senior army officer in the First Information Report (FIR) related to the assassination attempt on his life, he will implicate the institution.

Sanaullah said that Khan is bent on filing an FIR against the officials of the institution.

“If a false FIR is filed against a senior officer, what kind of comments will be made in our neighboring country?” he added.

Responding to a question on the delay in lodging an FIR, the Home Minister said that if you want to file a case against the “state”, there will be hurdles.

“If a fraudster wants to file a case for his [specific] purposes, the police have the right to refuse,” he added. The Home Minister said that the PTI leaders are putting pressure on the institutions to fulfill their nefarious ambitions.

‘Swati’s press is Delusional’
Commenting on PTI senator Azam Khan Swati’s alleged obscene video, the home minister said: “You can know in three seconds that this video is fake. They [Swati] should be investigated and punished for making the video and sending it.” Should have said give.”

The Minister said that instead of admitting the video, the PTI leader only pointed out the place to make allegations. Sanaullah argued that at least it should have been known first whether the video was fake or not.

“The press conference was a hoax, what was the need to confirm when they received the video?” said the minister.
