Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Saturday reached Shaukat Khanum Hospital in Lahore to seek medical help due to persistent abdominal pain.
After spending about four hours in the hospital, the PTI leader left and went back to his residence.
The former cricketer-turned-politician, who has been suffering since afternoon, visited a reputed medical centre.
A team of special doctors immediately visited Imran Khan on his arrival at the hospital on Saturday morning. Medical experts began a comprehensive examination to determine the cause of her abdominal pain. According to hospital sources, initial tests and diagnostics are being done to diagnose the underlying problem.

Imran Khan, who served as Pakistan’s prime minister from 2018 to 2023, was ousted in April last year by a no-confidence motion tabled by the 13-party alliance of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM). was removed. Since his dismissal, Khan has been campaigning to win election history. However, the coalition government has so far refused their demand.
The government had also arrested him on May 9 from the Islamabad High Court (IHC) premises in the Al-Qadir Trust case. He remained in jail for a few days before the Supreme Court of Pakistan declared his arrest illegal. He was later produced before the IHC on the orders of the Supreme Court and on May 12, two weeks’ bail was granted in all cases against him.
An update on Imran Khan’s medical examination at Shaukat Khanum Hospital is expected to be provided by the hospital authorities or their spokesperson in due course.
