PTI chief Imran Khan has warned his party members against their alleged collusion with the establishment, saying that no one should try to ‘bypass’ them.
The former prime minister issued this warning at the PTI core committee meeting in Islamabad.
In the meeting, the PTI chairman looked visibly angry and lashed out at the participants without naming anyone.
Imran Khan said that he knows that some PTI members are in touch with the establishment.
“The people are more active [in the anti-government campaign] than the party institutions,” Imran Khan said, adding that there was a possibility that the people would overtake the efforts of the PTI institutions.
He asked the party members to clearly inform and take their approval before opening any contact with the establishment.
He directed the core committee members to play a more active role for the upcoming long march on Islamabad.
Shireen Mazari was entrusted with important responsibilities regarding PTI’s social media campaign.
Imran Khan also chaired the Punjab Cabinet meeting at Punjab House in Islamabad.
He said that revolution is knocking at the door and new elections should be held to avoid crisis.
Imran Khan said that Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi is an experienced politician and PTI should support him.
