ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Chairman Imran Khan on Monday admitted that neither Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) DGC Major General Faisal Naseer threatened him directly nor did he have any case against him. There is no evidence to prove the allegations.
Imran Khan said this in a signed statement before the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) probing his allegations against senior military officials.
The JIT meeting for FIR No. 255/23 registered against Imran Khan in Ramna police station was held at the office of DIG (Operations) of Islamabad Police. The JIT explained the contents of the FIR to Imran and showed him the video clips in which he leveled baseless allegations against the ISI DGC of torture, plotting to kill him and others where he accused the DG. I came and blamed the army chief.
The PTI chief owned all the content of the clips.
Imran was asked the following questions:
JIT: Do you have clips?
Imran: Yes.
JIT: Do you have any proof of your allegations that you can present?
Imran: No.
JIT: Did General Faisal threaten you directly?
Imran: No.
JIT: Then why did you make allegations?
Imran: Someone told me.
JIT: Any proof or evidence you have?
Imran: No.
JIT: Why did you name DGI?
Imran: He held a press conference.
JIT: Have you met General Faisal?
Imran: No.
JIT: Who do you call Dirty Harry?
Imran: General Faisal.
After the question-and-answer session, Imran Khan said: “I have all my (video) clips, now I need to go.”
The proceedings of the JIT were recorded on paper and signed by Imran Khan.
