At least seven policemen have been killed in a bomb and gun attack in northern Iraq.

The attack took place on Sunday near the oil-rich city of Kirkuk, about 293 kilometers (182 miles) from the capital, Baghdad.

No group has claimed responsibility for the killings, but officials have blamed Islamic State.

“One attacker has been killed and we are looking for others,” the official said, adding that two policemen were also injured in the attack.
