Renowned Pakistani actor and comedian Ismail Tara passed away in Karachi on Thursday.
The legendary TV star, who rose to fame with his iconic role in Pakistani drama Fifty Fifi, was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Karachi, the actor’s family confirmed.
He was admitted to a private hospital in Karachi due to poor health and was put on ventilator. The cause of his death is said to be kidney failure. He is survived by a widow, four sons and a daughter.
The funeral prayers of the actor will be offered after Friday prayers at Memon Jama Masjid Phiriwali, Shaheed Millat Road.
Tara has acted in several stage plays, television and around 14 Lollywood films. He is a five-time Nagar Award winner for Best Comedian in Haati Mere Saathi, Lasti Mujra, Munda Bugda Jaye, Chief Sahib and Diwareen.
