The Judicial Commission meeting for the appointment of the new Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court (IHC) will be held on November 1, Tuesday.
The meeting of the Judicial Commission was convened by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Umar Atta Bandial.
According to sources, the name of the most senior judge Justice Amir Farooq will be considered for the post of Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court.
In its last meeting, the Judicial Commission had recommended the appointment of the current Chief Justice of IHC, Athar Minullah, as a judge of the Supreme Court.
After reviewing the recommendations of the Judicial Commission, the Parliamentary Committee will give the final approval for the appointment.
