KAM Sports Group still interested in buying Premier League club

US-based KAM Sports Group is still interested in buying Premier League club Everton, according to sources close to the Americans.

The organization was among the parties involved in the takeover talks earlier this year.

After those discussions ended, Everton owner Farhad Moshiri said the club was not for sale.

However, sources claim that talks are on, with KAM Sports now working alone.

KAM Sports describes itself as a “family-owned organization established to own and manage premier international sports assets”.

He belongs to the Minneapolis-based Kaminski family, which made its fortune in real estate investments.

The Kaminsky family was part of a consortium led by former Manchester United and Chelsea boss Peter Kenyon that tried to buy the club earlier this year.

Moshiri then wrote an open letter to fans, denying that he wanted to sell.

“Recently there has been a lot of talk about investment in our football club – even a takeover,” he said. “I want to make it clear that there are currently no ‘for sale’ signs outside Everton.”

He added, though, that it is “practical to explore all possible investment opportunities”.

Moshiri has invested hundreds of millions of pounds in Everton since taking over in 2016, and the club is due to move into a new 53,000-seat stadium in 2024.

However, the club have made £372m in losses over the past three seasons and only narrowly avoided relegation from the Premier League last season.
