Karachi Kings on Sunday defeated Lahore Qalandars by 86 runs after struggling to chase a target of 197 runs in the 30th match of the eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore today.
Chasing the target of 197 runs, the Lahore team was restricted to 110 runs in 18.5 overs.

Lahore were mostly on the back foot during the run chase as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals.
Hussain Talat scored 25 runs on behalf of Lahore.
On behalf of the winning team, Imad Wasim, Akif Javed, Muhammad Umar and Imran Tahir took two wickets each.
Rashid Khan walked off the field after being hit by a bouncer on the helmet. According to a brief update shared by Qalandars, the medical panel is monitoring his condition.
The Kings were already out of the title race in the eighth edition of the PSL as Imad Wasim and Co. lost seven matches out of 10 matches.
Karachi Kings were playing for pride since they were knocked out of the play-off race earlier in the tournament.
Batting first, Karachi scored 196-7 in the allotted 20 overs.

Opener Mohammad Akhlaq scored 51 runs off 36 balls with the help of five fours and two sixes.
Tayyab Tahir scored 40 runs while captain Imad Wasim added 45 runs. On behalf of Lahore, Zaman Khan, Haris Rauf and Hussain Talat took two wickets each.
Earlier, Kings won the toss and decided to bat.
Captain Shaheen Shah Afridi has been rested for today’s match. In the absence of the fast bowler, David Wiese was leading the defending champions.
In the first match of the day, Peshawar Zalmi defeated Islamabad United by 13 runs in Rawalpindi to ensure a match between the two teams in Eliminator 1 of the event.
The result also confirmed that defending champions Lahore Qalandars will face Multan Sultans in the qualifiers of the tournament.
The qualifier, whose winner will qualify directly for the final, will be played on March 15, while Eliminator 1 will take place on March 16.
The loser of the qualifier and the winner of Eliminator 1 will clash in Eliminator 2 on March 17 for a place in the final.
