Kashmiris living on both sides of the Line of Control and across the world are observing Black Day today (Thursday) to send a strong message to the world that they reject India’s illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir.

The day will be observed by people in India’s illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir through a complete shutdown and civil curfew.

Protest marches, rallies and seminars will be held in Pakistan and abroad to condemn the invasion of the area by the Indian Army on 27 October 1947 and the cancellation of the special status of Occupied Kashmir on 5 August 2019.

President Dr. Arif Alvi said on Wednesday that we celebrate the Kashmir Day to remember the sacrifices of our Kashmiri brothers in the just struggle for self-determination while condemning the ongoing atrocities of the Indian occupying forces for the last seven and a half decades. “

In his message, he said that October 27 this year marks the completion of 75 years of India’s illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

He said that the entire Pakistani nation reiterates its unwavering support to its Kashmiri brothers and sisters in their just struggle for freedom.
