Convenor of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQMP) Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, speaking in favor of the establishment of new provinces, said that considering the establishment of new provinces as treason is tantamount to hypocrisy, because provinces are administrative units and not of the country. Separable parts.

This comment of the politician came while talking to journalists after a function organized in connection with the anniversary of Urdu Martyrs in Liaquatabad.

Dr Siddiqui said that only Pakistan should be considered as the real motherland, stressing that provinces are only administrative units, and their number should be increased according to population growth and national needs.

He said that motherland is only Pakistan.

The MQMP leader highlighted that the creation of new provinces is in line with the responsibilities of the citizens towards their nation and reflects the spirit of patriotism.

Criticizing the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), he said that all the powers and resources of Karachi have been with a political party for the past 15 years which has not received the real mandate of the city’s residents for 50 years.

This political party does not represent the people of Karachi. A single party has no power over the city even if the new mayor is its own,” the MQMP chief said without explicitly naming the PPP.

He further said that Jamaat-e-Islami and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf should be questioned about their decision to contest the recent municipal elections in the city even after the unfair demarcation of their nearly 100 union committees.

A day ago on Saturday, MQMP Senior Deputy Convener Syed Mustafa Kamal also made similar remarks about the need for new provinces in the country.

While talking to the media representatives, he welcomed the recent proposal made by Senate Deputy Chairman Mirza Muhammad Afridi and former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi regarding the formation of new provinces in the country.

He said that prosperity and longevity of Pakistan can be achieved by creating new provinces.

Kamal said that now is the time to seriously consider the proposal of the Deputy Chairman of the Senate and other political leaders to create new provinces in the country as this option also provides a final solution to the problems of urban Sindh.

He said that the infrastructure of water supply, sewerage and roads in the urban areas of Sindh is suffering due to complete neglect by the People’s Party Sindh government.

The MQMP leader said that the youth of Sindh are suffering due to the partisan behavior of the ruling People’s Party. He said that job seekers from urban Sindh have been deprived of government jobs both on the basis of merit and the quota allotted to them.

He alleged that the quota of government jobs reserved for urban Sindh candidates was filled by recruiting non-local applicants. Kamal added that this unfair trend in the recruitment drive had recently extended to Karachi’s civic and municipal agencies where vacancies were being filled by recruiting non-locals while local candidates were missing out on those jobs.

The MQMP leader remarked that such partisan policies of the ruling People’s Party have harmed the interests of the entire Pakistan as they have weakened the foundations of the country.

He said that the people of Sindh can no longer afford the rule of anti-state and bigoted People’s Party. He further alleged that the entire Sindh has been ruined due to the totalitarian rule of the People’s Party in the province for more than a decade.
