Kissan Ittehad Announces Protest at D Chowk

Farmers, who have been on a rampage in the federal capital in recent days, have announced a protest against Kissan Ittehad at the seat of power in D Chowk, Islamabad, claiming that the government has not yet acknowledged their demands. .

Kissan Ittehad (Kisan Union) has camped in the federal capital for the past three days seeking aid and other relief from the government.

Speaking to the media on Friday, Kissan Ittehad Chairman Chaudhry Khalid Hussain said that farmers in Punjab are dying, hungry and dry.

“I warn the government that there may be another incident in Model Town,” he said, adding that this is our last warning.

He said that Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah had assured him in a meeting with his representatives in the federal capital yesterday. Moreover, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had promised to give him an audience, but nothing happened.

The farmers took out demonstrations and rallies demanding the government to solve the various problems faced by them.

Major problems include acute shortage of fertilizers, rising inflation, tax on use of tube wells, etc.
