Peshawar: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan said that the provincial assembly has not been dissolved, the main reason for this is the progress in Punjab.
The Chief Minister said that he has not yet received any fresh instructions from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly was not dissolved due to new changes in Punjab. Both the assemblies were to be dissolved simultaneously but due to the new political situation in Punjab, this could not happen.
He said he was waiting for fresh instructions from the PTI chief “and we will follow whatever instructions he gives.” Mahmood Khan said that he will hand over to his government as soon as he is asked.
Apart from Mehmood Khan, the PTI leaders are confident that they will sweep the general elections in the province based on their performance.

Imran Khan has been accusing the PDM leaders of running away from the elections, saying they know that PTI will sweep if transparent elections are held. Especially in KP, the entire PTI leadership wanted Imran Khan to let the provincial government complete his term as he had initiated several projects in the province.
The PTI has a simple majority in the KP Assembly and despite the efforts of some PDM leaders, they could not win the sympathies of the PTI MPAs.
