JEE News reported that lady health workers have been deployed at polling stations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa along with lady police to perform security duties during the by-elections.
According to a statement issued by Regional Police Officer (RPO) Mardan Muhammad Ali Khan, lady health workers will perform duty at the polling stations during the by-elections in the province.
“At the polling stations of NA-22 Mardan and NA-24 Charsadda, around 400 lady health workers will provide security along with police personnel,” he said.
The RPO further said that foolproof security measures have been taken to ensure the peaceful conduct of the by-elections.
He added that the police have completed all security arrangements for the by-elections in Charsadda and Mardan.
Meanwhile, the PDM urged the Election Commission (EC) to take notice of the deployment of lady health workers in polling stations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the by-elections.
Speaking to JEE News, PDM provincial spokesperson Abdul Jalil Jan said that the provincial government wants to use every tactic to win the by-elections by deploying lady health workers in the polling stations.
But we will not allow any action against the constitution and law.
