KARACHI: Lahore Qalandars all-rounder Liam Dawson has been ruled out of the remaining matches of Pakistan Super League 2023 due to an ankle injury sustained against Karachi Kings at the National Bank Cricket Arena on Sunday.

The news of his unavailability has been confirmed by the LQ administration. The team will look for a replacement for the right-handed batsman after the setback.
Dawson represented the Qalandars against the Kings, taking one wicket and conceding only one run as the Qalandars lost by 67 runs.
Dawson joins the unwanted list of players ruled out of PSL 8 due to injury. The list includes fast bowlers Shahnawaz Durrani of Multan Sultans and Wayne Parnell and Mir Hamza of Karachi Kings.
Additionally, KK’s Mohammad Amir has also been ruled out for the next match against MS on February 2022, the KK management confirmed on Monday.

Dharmani was ruled out of the tournament after injuring his finger in the very first game of the league. In the opening match of KK against Peshawar Zalmi, Mir Hamza also got injured in his finger.
Fast bowler Akif Javed was included in the team in place of Mohammad Ilyas and Mir Hamza.
Carlos Braithwaite replaces Wayne Parnell in the MS squad.
