Federal Aviation Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique on Tuesday took airline hospitality to another level for the tea-loving nation.
According to a statement issued by the federal minister, airline passengers will now be offered free tea at the airport to win their hearts.
This facility will first be provided to passengers traveling from Karachi, Islamabad and Lahore airports.
The spokesperson of Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) has said that tenders have been invited from tea suppliers for this purpose.
He added that in three to four weeks, airports will start providing free tea to passengers.
Pakistanis have such a knack for tea that even the aggressors entering Pakistani airspace are convinced of its authenticity.
Indian pilot Abhinandan was also scared in Pakistan’s prison. He said the tea is wonderful.
Pakistan is the world’s largest importer of tea, which cost the exchequer $600 million last year.
In June, Federal Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal urged the nation to spare a few cups of tea to reduce the import bill.
