Matthew Perry Says ‘Friends Saved My Life’ After Heart ‘Stopped for 5 Minutes’

Matthew Perry admits his life was saved because he starred in hit TV show Friends.

The Don’t Look Up actor had to leave the film due to ill health.

Perry revealed that she had to have an operation to insert a ‘weird medical device’ into her back but she took an opioid the night before and the next morning her heart stopped for five minutes.

“I was shot at eleven,” Perry wrote. “I woke up 11 hours later in a different hospital. Apparently, the propofol had stopped my heart. For five minutes.”

“I wasn’t flat-lined — but nothing was hit,” he recalled. “I was told that some beefy Swiss guy really didn’t want the guy from ‘Friends’ to die on his desk and did CPR on me for five whole minutes, pounding and hitting my chest.

“If I wasn’t on ‘Friends,’ would it have stopped at three minutes?” Perry continued. “Did ‘friends’ save my life again?” He established
