WaBetaInfo reported that Meta-owned WhatsApp has announced an amazing new feature that will allow users to easily send large chunks of media to their contacts.
According to the app tracking website, the instant messaging app is providing a better media picker with numbered thumbnails.
Through this feature, users will be able to easily track the order of selected media items. It is currently only available to some beta testers.
It will give users an “enhanced experience” by sending media to any of their contacts, including photos, videos and GIFs. They can experiment with numbered thumbnails, easily track selected media and their order.
The update shows a clear difference between the old and new media pickers. Previously, users would see a simple checkmark when selecting any media. The old feature worked but users couldn’t keep track of selected media when too many items were selected.

“The new media picker now assigns a number to each selected item, which appears on its thumbnail. This numbering system corresponds to the order in which media items are selected, giving users a clear visual reference. provides,” said WhatsApp Watcher.
Users are now able to keep track of media and how many photos they have sent to another person. They had to rely on their memory to make sure they kept the desired media layout but with the new feature, they can make adjustments before sending.
