Meta donates RS125M for floods of Pakistan

On Tuesday, a parent company of Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram, Meta, announced a donation of Rs 125 million for humanitarian assistance to Pakistan as a result of the flood.

The donation was announced on Tuesday during a meeting between Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Meta World Affairs President Nick Cleg.

“After the flood, full recovery, rehabilitation and reconstruction work cannot be fulfilled without the support of the private sector,” Bilawal said donation during these trials would be helpful for our flood relief operations.

Cleg, who served as Deputy Prime Minister of the UK under David Cameron, confirmed Meta’s interest in continuous engagement with Pakistan to find ways to further strengthen cooperation in digital space.
