Bilawal said that he had already maintained during the previous government that he should not expect anything good from Modi, who was the “butcher of Gujarat” and very different from Vajpayee and Manmohan Singh.

SCO Summit
He said that the Kashmir issue has been a constant part of foreign policy and mentioned Pakistan’s efforts to tackle the issues of Islamophobia and desecration of the Holy Quran, which resulted in a UN Human Rights Council resolution. Resolution passed.

In response to a question about Afghanistan, the foreign minister said that some opinions are being formed around the world based on ground realities.

The foreign minister said that after the fall of Kabul, the incidence of terrorism in Pakistan increased sharply and emphasized that cooperation and engagement between the two countries was necessary to tackle the problem.

He said that Pakistan is in touch with the Afghan leadership. On the issue of women’s education, he said, Pakistan has a very open and clear stand.

Declaring the war against terrorism as his war, the foreign minister said that Pakistan is the biggest country in the world affected by the menace of terrorism.

He said that he wants to save future generations and will not allow the enemies of religion, country and people to do more harm.

The foreign minister also strongly opposed the previous government’s policy regarding terrorists hiding in Afghanistan.

The foreign minister expressed satisfaction that progress had been made on the diplomatic front during the last 16 months with ‘damage control’.

He lamented that the PTI government had damaged the country’s relationship with world capitals and strongly disagreed with the former prime minister’s gesture of waving the letter sent by the European Union to the public. .

Ukraine conflict

Regarding the Russia-Ukraine conflict, he said that Pakistan wants a peaceful solution to this problem.

He said that he does not want to see the relations with Russia in the prism of the ongoing problem because he wants to collectively open up vast possibilities between the two countries. He added that he prayed for diplomacy and peace.

The foreign minister said that Pakistan is committed to the Pak-Iran gas pipeline for the mutual benefit of the people of both countries.

Earlier, the foreign minister highlighted the achievements of his ministry on diplomatic fronts and global forums, including increased engagement and increased engagement with the international community.

He said that Pakistan has established contacts with the United States, Europe and the United Kingdom through bilateral and multilateral meetings.

He further said that removal from the gray list of FATF and hosting of Geneva conference were significant achievements for Pakistan.

He said visa facilitation and cooperation in science and technology had opened doors for Pakistanis to find jobs abroad, adding that they had corrected the diplomatic course.

The foreign minister said that during his tenure, he never compromised on the core issue of Kashmir and effectively advocated for the oppressed people of Kashmir at every forum.

The Foreign Minister thanked the UN Secretary General for helping Pakistan during last year’s floods.

He said that they would provide 20 lakh weather-proof houses to the flood-affected people in Sindh, adding that a large number of educational institutions and the road network have also been affected by this natural calamity.
