Billionaire Elon Musk has said his upcoming fight with Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg will take place at an ‘epic venue’ in Italy.
According to the owner of social media platform X, the proceeds from the fight will be donated to a charity, while viewers can stream the fight live on Meta and X.
Musk posted on X “The live stream will be on this platform and on Meta, the fight will be managed by my and Zack’s foundations [not the UFC], everything in the camera frame will be ancient Rome, so something modern. Not even,” he added
The Tesla CEO said he had already spoken with both Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and the country’s culture minister and said “they have agreed on an epic point.”
“Everything will respect Italy’s past and present,” Musk added. “And all proceeds will go to veterans.”
No date has yet been confirmed for the proposed fight between Musk and Zuckerberg, although both opponents have begun training for the event.
Musk is also updating his followers on his progress. “[I’ve] been lifting weights all day, preparing for the fight,” he wrote on X on Sunday. Zuckerberg also said the same day that he was “ready today” for the fight.
“I’m ready today. I proposed on August 26th when [Musk] first challenged, but he didn’t confirm,” Zuckerberg wrote in a post on Threads. “I’m not holding my breath.”
