Pakistan’s Naila Kiani has become the country’s first woman to summit the 8,091-meter Annapurna I peak in Nepal.
Kiani, a mother of two and a banker in Dubai, reached the summit of the world’s 10th highest mountain between 6:30 and 7:00 am on Monday.
He scaled Annapurna I along with Pakistani mountaineer Shahroz Kashif. The six-member team included two Pakistanis and India’s Arjun Vajpayee.
Kiani’s summit was announced by his expedition organizers Seven Summit Treks.
She also became the first Pakistani woman to climb four peaks above 8,000 meters.
Naila has previously summited K2, G1 and G2.
Naila also plans to climb the world’s highest mountain Mount Everest and 8516 meters high Lhotse in her current trip to Nepal.
