Alia Siddiqui has explained the reasons behind coming to light about the conflicts with her ex-husband Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
During an interview with JEE News, Aaliyah said of her ugly public fights with the Freaky Ali star, “I had to talk about these things publicly because I was in so much pain. I felt like if I I will be suffocated if I don’t. The decision taken by the court finally gives me peace of mind.”
She continued, “Only I know what I went through mentally. One can only imagine the pain one would go through if one were to talk about one’s private affairs in public. I still think I shouldn’t have talked about these things in public. But when you’re in deep trouble, you have to resort to a public forum because you have people to listen to you. There is no one… when there is no one to listen to you, you have to fight.”
“I went on a public platform because I wanted the media to understand what I was doing. I was going through some really deep problems and I wasn’t able to tell anyone about it. I have been going through this for the last 12 years. Going through this. My career was getting affected. I was not allowed to work. The producer added that they did not allow my career to go ahead and wanted to stop me.
Earlier, Alia thanked Siddiqui for working on her production Holy Cow.
The former couple has two children. In April, a local court ordered that the children be sent back to Dubai for their education.
