Netflix has decided not to move forward with a second season of drama series Partner Track and sci-fi drama The Imperfects.
Partner Track hit the streaming platform on August 2 and peaked at No. 4 in its opening weekend, placing in the top 10 on the English-language series weekly chart.
Meanwhile, The Imperfects opened at No. 3 before slipping in its first weekend. Both series stayed in the top 10 for nearly three weeks, which is contrary to the standard Netflix has set for shows and movie series earning renewals.
The Imperfects follows Abbi, a scientist, Joanne, a comic book artist, and Tilda, a singer, who are turned into monsters after undergoing experimental gene therapy.
The trio then decide to find the scientist responsible for their transformation and force him to become human again.
The second canceled series, Partner Track, follows exemplary young lawyer Ingrid Yun, who struggles with her moral compass and emotions as she fights to climb the partner track at an elite New York City law firm.
