Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) spokesperson and JUIF leader Hafiz Hamdullah said that the proposal given by President Dr. Arif Alvi regarding the appointment of a new Chief of Army Staff is aimed at making the appointment controversial. .
He said that this proposal is not only a violation of the oath of office of the President but also against the Constitution.
It is very important to acknowledge the appointment of the new army chief, Hamdullah said, adding that the statement is an attempt to make the appointment controversial.
He said that no change in the pre-arranged procedure for appointment of COAS will be accepted.
